You don't have to arrive with the right words. You just have to show up.
Therapy, at its best, is what happens when someone finally has room to tell the whole story.
Not the edited version.
Not the one that makes sense.
The one that's still unfinished, still tender, still looking for words.
That's the kind of space I try to create.

Who I Work With
-
For the chapters that are hardest to start.
Adolescence is its own kind of story — urgent, confusing, full of things that haven't found words yet. The pressure is real. So is the loneliness.
I work with teenagers in a way that takes them seriously — not as problems to be solved, but as people in the middle of becoming. I meet them where they are and help them find language for what they're carrying.

For when the story feels stuck.
Something has shifted — quietly, gradually, or all at once. The life you're living feels smaller than it used to. You're going through the motions, but something underneath is unresolved.
Maybe it's grief you haven't had room to carry. Anxiety that keeps rewriting the same page. Shame that doesn't have a name yet. A faith that has come apart in ways that surprised you.
Individual therapy is a place to slow down long enough to understand what's actually happening — and to begin, carefully, to write something different.

For when two people have lost the plot.
You still love each other. But somewhere along the way, you ended up in the same argument again. The same silence. The same distance that neither of you knows how to cross.
Couples therapy isn't about assigning blame or declaring someone right. It's about understanding the story both of you have been telling — and finding a way to write one together that actually has room for both of you in it.
I'm trained in Gottman Method and Relational Life Therapy, both of which are grounded in the real dynamics of how partners wound and repair each other over time.

HOW I WORK
My Approach to Therapy
Healing doesn't happen in the past, and it doesn't wait in the future. It happens here, in this moment, though this moment is never just itself. It carries the weight of where we've been and the pull of where we're still reaching.
I sit with people in their wounds, in the hopes and dreams that didn't survive. Not to leave them buried there, but to walk beside them as they find the freedom to reach toward what's still possible.
How I do that depends on what you need. These are the approaches I draw from most.
-
This is the foundation of how I work. It brings together two things: real curiosity about your history and the patterns you carry, and respect for you as a whole person who is still choosing and still becoming.
I don’t start with a theory and fit you into it. I start with your experience: how your world looks and feels from where you stand, what you’re reaching toward, what you’re avoiding, and what it all means to you. You aren’t a set of symptoms or a diagnosis to explain. You’re someone living a particular life, in a particular place, with real choices in front of you.
We’ll pay attention to what’s happening beneath the surface: old patterns, fears that don’t make sense on paper, and the ways the past keeps showing up in the present. The goal isn’t only to understand why you are the way you are. It’s to help you see your life more clearly, so you can live it more freely and more fully as yourself.
Much of the change happens in the relationship itself. How we talk, what feels hard to say, and what happens between us in a session are all part of the work.
-
ACT isn’t about thinking positively or getting rid of difficult feelings. It’s about learning to move toward what matters to you even when anxiety, grief, or self-doubt are present. We work on loosening the grip those experiences have on your choices, so you can act from your values rather than from fear.
-
Some things are hard to put into words. Sand tray offers a different kind of language — a way of externalizing what’s internal, giving shape to experiences that haven’t found words yet. It’s particularly useful when someone is carrying something they can feel but can’t quite say.
-
For couples, the research is clear: it’s not conflict that ends relationships, it’s the patterns around conflict. Gottman and RLT give us a framework for understanding those patterns — what’s underneath them, where they came from, and how to build something more honest and connected in their place.
WHAT TO EXPECT
-
A 15-minute phone or video call. You can tell me a little about what's going on, ask any questions, and get a feel for whether I'm the right person for you. No paperwork and no commitment.
-
Before we meet, you'll fill out a few forms through a secure client portal. In the first session, we'll mostly talk about your story: what's brought you here, what you've tried, and what you're hoping will be different. We aren't trying to fix anything yet. You set the pace.
-
Sessions are 50 minutes by secure video, usually weekly to start. Some weeks we'll focus on what's happening right now. Over time, we'll also look at the patterns and history underneath it.
-
Some people come for a focused season of a few months. Others stay longer because the work goes deeper. We'll check in regularly about whether it's helping. If someone else would be a better fit for you, I'll tell you and help you find them.
